EILDON Housing Association has appointed Hart Builders, part of the Cruden Group, to deliver a multi-million-pound affordable housing development at Huddersfield Street in Galashiels.

Due to begin in July, the £5.7m development will see 34 new homes built in a five-storey building with it due to be complete towards the end of 2021.

Andy Mallice, Hart Builders managing director, said:“We are delighted to continue our strong working relationship with Eildon as we begin working on this exciting new development in Galashiels to bring quality affordable homes to the area.”

Nile Istephan, Eildon Housing Association chief executive, said: “We’re looking forward to continuing our work with Hart Builders, to deliver these new energy efficient affordable homes which will make a real difference to people’s lives.”
