ONGEN, the software and consultancy business committed to seeing all consumers and businesses powered by carbon neutral energy, is launching OnGen Marketplace. This latest digital offering from OnGen will help organisations to find the perfect installation partner for their renewable energy projects. The platform is aimed at providing costing transparency, trusted recommendations and impartial reviews, helping purchasers to find the right installers for their bespoke green energy installations.

The launch of Marketplace coincides with OnGen receiving Government funding, awarded to innovative AI businesses that are supporting the UK’s drive towards Net Zero. The funding is part of the AI for Decarbonisation Innovation Programme, through the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s £1 billion Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP).

Prior to the launch of OnGen Marketplace, OnGen has been focused on ensuring that businesses are armed with the right information to select the best onsite renewable energy generation technologies for their sites. The AI-powered platform – OnGen Expert – allows users to compare all mature green energy technologies by analysing data sets and providing recommendations to help purchasers achieve their carbon neutral goals and maximise their ROI. The launch of Marketplace allows customers to not only see what technology is right for them, but helps them to find the right partner for their installation.

Installers that are listed on OnGen Marketplace are all MCS and Renewable Energy Consumer Code accredited. The launch of Marketplace makes OnGen the first business to offer this end-to-end solution, enabling customers to not only understand which green energy solution is the best fit for them, but helps with the final leg to bring the projects to life.

Jonathan Bates, (CEO Photon Energy), commented:

“OnGen Marketplace is a great new addition to OnGen’s service offering. Signposting customers to reputable installers, after an objective assessment of which onsite renewable technologies an energy user should consider, builds confidence and accelerates the process of transitioning away from fossil fuel-based energy generation.”

Chris Trigg (OnGen founder and CEO), added:

“The launch of OnGen Marketplace has come at a really exciting time for us. We’re kicking off this year by bringing the first market offering that gives customers complete end-to-end visibility into their green energy projects. Furthermore, there’s major momentum for us and we’re using additional funding we’ve secured to build the team and bring more development capabilities in-house. We’re really excited to make renewable energy more accessible and more of a reality for organisations who are striving for Net Zero.”
