SCOTTISH-owned business, Fosters Family Funeral Directors, has announced a £600,000 investment into their funeral fleet, upgrading current limousines and ambulances alongside purchasing new state-of-the-art vehicles to help expand their funeral services across Scotland.

The funeral directors, which has been operating since 2005 and has 18 branches across Scotland, will purchase two new limousines and one hearse, which will provide even more families across Scotland the opportunity for a traditional funeral procession as part of their loved one’s ceremony.

Alongside the new fleet, bespoke conversions have been applied on Fosters vehicles, whilst a further two brand-new ambulances are currently being built and will be delivered over the coming months.

Robert MacLachlan, Group CEO at Fosters Family Funeral Directors, said: “We are proud to announce this significant investment into our fleet of limousines. The purchase of new vehicles and upgrading our current fleet will help Fosters continue to deliver the very best in funeral services, as well as ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers taking part in funeral processions.

“Allowing families the opportunity to travel together and support each other is very important to help with the grieving process, so any additional comfort we can bring to bereaved families is greatly welcomed.”

All vehicles will continue to adhere to the Scottish Government guidelines, with protective screens and specialist air filtration devices included. Drivers will also continue to wear the necessary PPE and deep cleans of the fleet will be carried out after each use. Masks and hand sanitisers for all passengers will be provided.

Current restrictions mean that no more than six members of the same household can travel in one limousine from one pick up address.
