Aberdeen ANM Group, one of Scotland’s progressive co-operative businesses, has concluded the purchase of the Glasgow based auction business Sweeney Kincaid Ltd. Established in 1991, Sweeney Kincaid located in Hillington Business Park, Glasgow is a leading provider of auction and valuation services of industrial, commercial, and business assets, vehicles and equipment.
Sweeney Kincaid will become a subsidiary of ANM Group, retaining all its employees, and the Managing Director, Russell Kincaid, who will continue in his role. The acquisition of the business is seen as a key opportunity for the Aberdeen based business to open more diverse routes to market in, and from, the central belt, across the south of Scotland and the north of England.
The acquisition includes a six acre purpose built auction centre at Hillington, Glasgow, with 6000 sq. ft. of buildings and modular office space.
The move is welcomed by Chief Executive of ANM Group, Grant Rogerson, who said he was thrilled that ANM Group had made such an exciting acquisition.
