38 Scottish companies are named in London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report, recording a 40% average annual revenue growth rate and generating a total turnover of £1.5 billion.

Companies come from across Scotland, including six companies based in Glasgow (60% average annual revenue growth rate), five companies in Edinburgh (36%) and four companies in Aberdeen (36%).
Over 2600 jobs have been created over the past two-year period by the featured Scottish companies.
Companies on the list include Angus Soft Fruits, a supplier of berries to UK and European retailers; Axis Studios, an animation and visual effects firm, brewer Innis & Gunn and Wester Ross Fisheries, one of the oldest independently owned salmon farmer in Scotland.
The report identifies the UK’s most dynamic and fastest growing Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs). This year’s report features companies from a diverse range of sectors and regions, reflecting the entrepreneurial drive seen across the country. Over two-thirds of the companies appear in the report for the first time, while six firms are making their fifth consecutive appearance.
