LEADING Scottish convenience retailer is gearing up to celebrate the opening of a brand-new store in Whitburn this week.
On Friday (29 September) at 10am, Scotmid will officially open the doors to its 4000sqft store, located in the new mixed-use development of Heartlands in West Lothian.
In Scotmid-style, the launch will be marked with goody bags, free samples, prizes and more. The local community are encouraged to be there at 10am to see the ribbon being cut.
The opening has created 25 jobs for the local community. Six further roles have been filled by existing staff who are relocating to the new store, bringing their considerable experience with them.
Customers can look forward to choosing great quality items from an extended range of fresh food products along with Scotmid’s popular ranges of Scottish produce, frozen foods and everyday essentials.
The increasingly popular Food to Go counter will carry a large breakfast selection, freshly made baguettes, toasties and burritos. New exclusive offerings include Big Als Burgers & Rib Steaks, Grab & Go Pizza Slices, and Hot Yum Yums for those with a sweet tooth.

The site has car parking and there are plans to install electric charging points.
