MORE than 100 permanent and seasonal roles are available at Glasgow Fort’s jobs fair later this week, with over 10 employers offering opportunities, including Hotel Chocolate, Boots and Wagamama’s.

Taking place on Thursday 28th September, there will be a range of positions available including sales assistants, supervisors, chefs and more at retailers and restaurants at Glasgow Fort and across the city centre.

Representatives from the brands will be available to provide further information and helpful advice for applicants, and there will also be a series of CV workshops, as well as the chance to book one-to-one employability support sessions.

The event is hosted in partnership with FARE Scotland and will be based at a pop-up unit adjacent to the card factory and opposite JD Sports, from 10am-5pm.

Phil Goodman, centre director at Glasgow Fort, said: “It’s great to be partnering with so many of the UK’s leading brands – the event is shaping up to be our biggest jobs fair to date!

“The jobs fair will provide people in our community with the opportunity to have face to face contact with potential employers and access to range of resources and career advice.

“I’d encourage anyone interested in a career in retail or leisure, or those looking for a new challenge to come along, see what’s on offer.”

More than 80 of the vacancies are for roles at Glasgow Fort, with a further 40 available with other retailers across the city centre.

Retailers attending the jobs fair include:

  • Smyth’s Toy Store
  • Wagamama
  • Claires Accessories
  • Boots
  • Body Shop
  • Parks Motor Group
  • Nando’s
  • Card Factory
  • Hotel Chocolate
  • B&M
  • Brewers Fayre

Attendees will also be able to access financial, energy and health and wellbeing support, and local activities and clubs from the East end of Glasgow will also be in attendance.
