ABERDEEN-based industrial
services company, Bilfinger Salamis UK, has renewed its Training Managed Service
(TMS) contract with leading training provider, AIS Training, to manage and
deliver the company’s UK training for the next seven years.
As part of the contract AIS Training will
provide more than 450 industry-accredited technical and safety-critical skills
courses in areas such as offshore survival, emergency response, crisis
management, rope access, rigging and lifting, scaffolding and fabric
maintenance. It will also continue to provide a full training and competency
management service using digital and online systems to manage course bookings,
scheduling and certificate renewals.
AIS Training has worked in partnership with
Bilfinger Salamis since 2016 after the company decided to outsource all
training to one external provider.
In 2018, AIS Training became part of the 3T
Energy Group, which includes energy training specialist, Survivex, simulator
developer, Drilling Systems and virtual reality and software developer,
NeutronVR.
Bilfinger Salamis is benefitting from the wider
Group’s additional expertise including Survivex’s world-class training centre
in Aberdeen, as well as AIS Training’s 20-acre training village in Newcastle
and unrivalled technological expertise.
Mike Henderson, Commercial and Business
Development Director at Bilfinger Salamis, said: “We are delighted to renew our
contract with AIS Training for the next seven years.
“Working with AIS Training is a true partnership
and we have seen significant benefits from improved efficiencies, reduced costs
and access to new training technology. Before working exclusively with AIS
Training, we had to deal with a range of training companies to deliver training
that couldn’t be delivered in-house. This could be time-consuming and
logistically complex. Now all of our training requirements can be arranged
through a simple TMS digital platform, making it far simpler for us. As well as
resource and time savings, we have seen a reduction of up to 18% on direct
course bookings.”
Gavin Taylor, Commercial Sales Director at AIS
Training / Survivex, said: “We work hand in glove with Bilfinger Salamis to
deliver the highest standards of training management so are thrilled to have
our contract extended until 2026. We have a great working relationship and
continue to promote innovative learning tools such as VR to enhance our service
offering. As well as delivering industry-accredited skills courses, the service
we offer Bilfinger Salamis utilises our unique training management software
(TMS) which helps companies maximise their training budgets. It means Bilfinger
has instant access worldwide to real-time information on course bookings,
skills records and training information and can also forecast budgetary demands
based on training matrices and certificate renewal dates. We are looking
forward to continuing our great working partnership.”
