Dyemill Lodges in Arran

DYEMILL Lodges, a six-property strong self-catering holiday lodge business just a short walk from Lamlash on the Isle of Arran, has been brought to the market by joint agents Watermans Solicitors and Estate Agents and DM Hall, one of Scotland’s largest independent firms of chartered surveyors, at offers over £395,000.

The 1.7-acre rural site enjoys a tranquil setting nestling within the mature deciduous woodland along the banks of the Monahmore Burn, just a 15-minute drive from the ferry terminal at Brodick.

The village of Lamlash has two hotels, The Glenisle, and Lamlash Bay Hotel, two pubs, The Pierhead Tavern and The Drift Inn, a local church, a newsagent, a chemist, a medical centre, the only hospital on the island and the Co-op. Brodick, Arran’s main town, has two larger Co-Op supermarkets and a full range of professional services.

Dyemill Lodges, was originally planned as a ten lodge destination, though currently there are only six self-catering, Scandinavian style pine lodges, each accommodating four persons, which offers excellent growth potential to add a further four lodges and two static caravans. In addition, there is approved planning in place for an attractive two/three-bedroom manager’s accommodation.

The lodges are mostly situated on an elevated position with a pleasant outlook through large picture windows, each comprising of an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a private, sheltered veranda with patio chairs. The lodges have been well-maintained and are to be sold inclusive of furnishings.

Anthony Zdanowicz, a commercial property Associate based in the Ayr office of DM Hall, said: “the site and lodges offer an ideal proposition for those looking to run a business on the island, offering a lifestyle change in what is a very popular tourist destination and sector of the hospitality industry.

“There is excellent growth potential by utilising the planning for more accommodation and to extend the operating season, which at present is between March and October.

“Our clients are seeking offers over £395,000 and anyone interested in finding our more should contact me, Anthony.Zdanowicz@dmhall.co.uk or on 01292 268055.”

DM Hall, now in its 126th year, has 23 offices across Scotland and in 2023 expanded into the North of England with the acquisition of Hyde Harrington, an established firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Carlisle and Kendal.
