AND Digital, a leading tech enablement specialist, has appointed entrepreneur and Cloud expert, Dave Livesey, to the position of Club Executive as he prepares to head up the firm’s first Scottish office.
Dave will lead AND Digital’s Edinburgh-based team, which has been named ‘Club Somerville’ after notable Scottish science pioneer, Mary Somerville. Dave’s top priority is to deliver AND Digital’s mission to accelerate the digital capabilities of its clients and to help close the digital skills gap that currently challenges many Scottish businesses.
Mr Livesey brings with him over 20 years of experience in digital and technology, and has worked across a diverse range of sectors, including banking, healthcare and financial services.
He said: “Having founded my own business in 2009, I have a clear understanding of what it’s like being at the coalface, where slick, efficient digital delivery really matters. In my two decades working in tech overall, I have seen first-hand the way that tech and digital are challenging many industries, but how, if done right, it can create outsized competitive advantage.
“A core part of my role at AND Digital will be to grow and nurture the team behind Club Somerville, and to lead on our company-wide vision of helping businesses accelerate their digital abilities by providing fast access to tech talent so that companies can not only ship better products faster but also upskill in-house teams for ongoing success.”
Last month, AND Digital announced ambitious plans to recruit 80-100 digital specialists within the next 18 months.
Since launching in Edinburgh in February, Club Somerville has welcomed 13 new tech experts across a wide range of roles, including analysts, developers, delivery leads and people leads, with a further 25 new recruits expected to join in April and May.
Founded in 2014, AND Digital has rapidly expanded, now employing over 600 technology experts and its portfolio of clients, includes British Airways, IAG Cargo, KCOM and Gousto.
