Scotland’s national youth information platform Young Scot is using its podcast to help support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of young people across the country….as well as delivering practical benefits to listeners.

Now in its third season, the This is How AyeFeel Podcast delivers a series of candid and uplifting conversations covering real-life experiences and challenges to support young people across Scotland in different ways.

Each time someone listens to an episode, they also have the chance to collect 100 Young Scot points which can be accumulated over time and used to claim items such as digital vouchers, subscriptions to apps and more benefits.

Hosted by Katy J, This is How AyeFeel invites guests from all walks of life to talk openly about topics that matter to young people in Scotland, from mental health and body image to belonging, identity, resilience and navigating everyday pressures. Each episode is grounded in honesty, humour and heart, offering insight and reassurance to listeners who may be grappling with similar issues.

Listeners can tune in wherever they get their podcasts, or watch full episodes on YouTube.

Young Scot Director Reid Aiton said: “With the support and advice of Podcast Studio Glasgow, we have piloted a video‑first podcast and video docuseries that now form a core element of our delivery for young people in Scotland, reflecting their media habits and ensuring we meet them in the digital spaces they prefer.”

The podcast is recorded at Podcast Studio Glasgow, run by father and son team Mark and Cam Hunter, where young voices come to life in a creative and supportive space. Podcast Studio Glasgow co-founder Mark Hunter says: ”It’s great to be involved with This is How AyeFeel, giving young people a platform to speak their truth and connect with others across Scotland. What this podcast does, sharing real stories and experiences, can make a genuine difference to someone who’s listening and maybe feeling alone.”

Young Scot is headquartered in Edinburgh and is Scotland’s national youth information and citizenship charity, dedicated to supporting young people with reliable information, opportunities to volunteer, discounts to save money and access to resources that help them thrive.

Through This is How AyeFeel, Young Scot aims to create a space where young people can hear from others who have faced challenges and come through them with confidence, understanding and a sense of connection.

With Season 3 now underway and new episodes airing weekly, This is How AyeFeel continues to champion honest dialogue about life in Scotland and the emotional wellbeing of the next

generation.
