CLEAN energy trade body Scottish Renewables has revealed the Young Professionals Green Energy Awards 2020 will go ahead, but in an online format.

The awards, due to be held on June 15, usually attract an audience of around 1,400.

Scottish Renewables said it is “committed” to holding the awards ceremony, even if it must be held online.

The awards generally has 450 shortlisted candidates competing for around 50 awards.

The trade body also announced that it has delayed the entry date for categories to April 17 2020.

Judging will begin in May.

Past winners include staff from Moray East Offshore Wind Farm, Simec Atlantis Energy and ScottishPower Renewables.
