UK LAW firm Weightmans has appointed two employment law experts to lead the Employment, Pensions and Immigration Department in Glasgow.
Partner Ingrid McGhee and Associate Steven Harte join from LexLeyton (and previously Biggart Baillie/DWF LLP), adding to Weightmans’ significant presence in the city.
Ingrid is well known for her personable nature and her ability to deliver direct, strategic commercial advice to clients. She has a wealth of experience in the provision of legal services and was a partner at LexLeyton, responsible for establishing the firm’s multi-national practice north of the border. She is well versed in all areas of contentious and non-contentious employment work and provides specialist employment legal support across many sectors, including Owner Managed Businesses, Retail, Transport and Logistics, Oil and Gas, Construction and Manufacturing.
Steven Harte is an experienced employment law specialist. He provides advice on all aspects of employment law and is known for his professional but down to earth approach and, in particular, his focus on achieving practical as well as legal solutions for clients. An experienced litigator, Steven regularly appears in the employment tribunals and has an excellent track record. In addition to being a solicitor, Steven is a Non-Executive Director of Lifelink, a mental health charity.
