Walker Precision Engineering is delighted to announce that George Adams has joined as CEO. Walker is a strategic supplier to numerous key primes in the Aerospace, Defence & Space (ADS) sectors. This appointment provides strong strategic leadership in the company’s journey of operational excellence in order to capitalise on the growth opportunities across these sectors. 

Adams has four decades of complex aerospace engineering and manufacturing experience and over 20 years of experience in senior leadership and executive roles in both corporate and PE backed companies including Rolls-Royce, GE, and MB Aerospace.  “I am excited about the potential for growth within Walker, across our sites in Scotland, England and Poland.  Making a difference to a local SME with over 45 years of heritage was a real attraction to joining the business”. 

Chairman Nick Sanders expressed the Board’s enthusiasm for Adams’ appointment, citing his proven success in driving growth and leadership in critical areas such operational excellence.

Headquartered in Glasgow, Walker is a family business backed by leading growth capital investor BGF. Following strong growth, the business has seen its orderbook triple over the past two years. “Given George’s proven experience in our industry and sectors, the business is well positioned to leverage this opportunity under his leadership”, Sanders remarked.
