Edinburgh-based TV advertising analytics provider TVSquared has appeared in the 19th annual Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table which ranks Britain’s private technology, media and telecoms (TMT) companies with the fastest-growing sales.

TVSquared is the only Scottish company to place on this year’s league table. It has grown its sales by an average of 67% a year over three years to total sales of £7.2m in 2017 and employs 93 people.

TVSquared helps thousands of brands, agencies and networks in 70 countries to track how television advertising impacts business outcome and drives sales. It has received more than $26.6m in funding to date, from investors including the Scottish Investment Bank and West Coast Capital, the investment vehicle funded and founded by Scottish entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter. It also counts Dundee-based serial entrepreneur Christian van der Kuyl as its chairman.

TVSquared appears with businesses from around Britain, including digital banking services provider Revolut, cybersecurity developer Darktrace, and currency transfer provider TransferWise. Past stars range from travel search engine Skyscanner, which was bought by Ctrip, China’s largest travel company, for £1.4bn in 2016, to online supermarket and tech company Ocado, now floated at a market cap of £8.6bn.

Bob Thaker, chief executive of Hiscox UK, commented:

“Tech companies have once again proved their mettle as they continue to power up growth and innovation. Hats off to all the companies that have made it onto this year’s Tech Track 100.”
