VISITScotland has announced the appointment of Vicki Miller as its new Director of Marketing.

With over 18 years’ experience in the tourism industry, Vicki joined the Dumfries & Galloway Tourist Board in 2001, holding the positions of Head of Marketing & Visitor Services and acting Chief Executive.

In 2005 Vicki joined VisitScotland as an Area Director, managing the Tayside team and supporting the development of local area tourism strategies and Area Tourism Partnerships. A move back into a marketing focused role in 2007 saw Vicki lead on local and customer experience marketing activity delivering on VisitScotland’s vision of building a visitor-shaped destination brand.

Malcolm Roughead, Chief Executive of VisitScotland said: “Vicki has been with VisitScotland for 14 years and has made a tremendous contribution over that time. Her extensive experience and expertise will help us build on a critical part of our ambition for Scotland to become a world class visitor destination.

“An excellent role model and ambassador for our organisation, Vicki is well respected among staff and many stakeholders across Scotland.  I believe her personal and professional commitment to this role will help us meet our goal of delivering sustainable and inclusive growth to the Scottish economy.”
