TLT HAS been shortlisted for Firm of the Year and Real Estate Team of the Year at the Scottish Legal Awards 2020.

The nominations recognise the firm’s significant growth in 2019, as well as its inclusive culture and commitment to going above and beyond for clients.

TLT has continued to attract significant new hires in Scotland including expanding its corporate, real estate and banking and finance practices, strengthening its offering in its key focus sectors.

The firm also launched a unique public procurement offering in the UK legal market, combining industry-leading legal services with “near-legal” consultancy services through the appointment of Caroline Ramsay as partner from Pinsent Masons, and independent consultant Iain Steel as chief procurement services officer, both based in Glasgow.

The team offers clients a “one-stop-shop” for public procurement, from strategy and design through to governance, regulatory affairs and assurance.

TLT’s real estate practice in Scotland also recorded significant growth in 2019, following the acquisition of commercial real estate firm Leslie Wolfson & Co in 2018 and major client wins. The nomination also recognises the team’s innovative approach to solving clients’ challenges, including a flexible resource model that can be deployed at scale.

John Paul Sheridan, location head for TLT in Scotland, says: “We are committed to building a full-service practice in Scotland, with a strong inclusive culture in both Glasgow and Edinburgh that’s underpinned by powerful market-leading expertise. 2019 was a significant leap forward and it’s an honour to be nominated for these awards.

“This really is a credit to the fantastic work of our teams. We are always looking for new ways to support clients and to help them address their challenges, whether that’s through new processes, skills or technology.”

TLT’s key focus sectors include clean energy; digital; financial services; leisure, food & drink; public sector; real estate; and retail & consumer goods.

It has six offices across the UK including in Belfast, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Manchester.
