Thomas Lynch appointed as OEG Renewables’ Regional Director (Americas)

04/07/2024

OEG Energy Group Limited (“OEG”, the “Group”), a leading energy solutions business, has appointed
Thomas Lynch as its new Regional Director (Americas) for its offshore wind division, OEG Renewables
(“OEGR”).

In this role Thomas will lead the expansion of OEGR’s service and product offering in North America,
building upon OEGR’s successful contract wins in the region and strengthening its international
footprint. Thomas will help enhance OEGR’s local resources and capabilities in North America to
ensure that it is positioned to be a key player and partner to wind farm developers and OEMs as the
US offshore wind market continues to grow.

Thomas joins OEGR having been the Managing Director (North America) for Axess Offshore Wind
where he was responsible for driving growth and diversification of their offshore wind services and
solutions in the region. Prior to this he worked with Eversource Energy providing engineering
coordination for grid interconnection for the Vineyard offshore wind farm, the US’s first utility-scale
offshore wind project.

The forward strategy for OEGR in North America is to build a similar set-up as has successfully been
achieved by the company in Asia. OEGR in Asia, is based in Taiwan where it has grown its local
resources and capabilities as the country has advanced its offshore wind capacity, positioning the
company as a key player in Taiwan. OEGR Asia has then expanded from that base to support the
development of offshore wind projects in Japan, South Korea, and the wider Asia Pacific region. In
North America the market drivers for growth in the offshore wind sector are strong given supportive
government policies and ambitions to achieve offshore power generating capacity of 30GW by 2030
and 110GW by 2050.

John Heiton, OEG’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome Thomas to the team
as Regional Director (Americas) for our Renewables division. Thomas brings a wealth of experience
working within the emerging US offshore wind market. He joins OEGR at an exciting time as we
expand our operating footprint to become a global leader in the provision of integrated services and
products for the growing offshore wind market. We look forward to Thomas leading the strategic
direction of OEGR in North America, leveraging the support of the wider group with its deep
experience and capabilities in the provision of specialist topside, marine, subsea and cable
solutions.”
