The Data Lab announces free online data course for business leaders

THE Data Lab, Scotland’s innovation centre for data and AI, is set to launch a second run of its free online data training course, targeting decision makers in businesses of all industries and sizes globally.

‘Driving Value from Data’, aims to educate business leaders on how data can provide added value to their organisation, specifically those setting up data capabilities for the first time, or those looking to take steps to the next level of data maturity.

The online course, which launches which launches on April 20, will also equip participants with the tools and skills to introduce proven data techniques into their day-to-day operations.

Since the introduction of The Data Lab’s Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) in January, over 1,000 participants, spanning more than 80 countries from a wide range of industries in the private, public and third sectors, have taken part.

Craig Paterson, The Data Lab executive education advisor, said: “With businesses taking increasingly more notice of data, we look forward to delivering our latest online course which will provide participants with the confidence and knowledge to drive value from data; understand how to use data effectively and efficiently to improve operations; and identify trends that will positively impact their business and maximise success – without breaking the budget.”
