SuperPark Glasgow, a 30,000 sq ft indoor activity park, is preparing to open its doors at Frasers Plus Braehead, marking the brand’s first-ever UK location.

Positioned within the newly rebranded Braehead Shopping Centre, the movement-based, multi-generational attraction brings a globally recognised concept to Scotland, combining sport, play and technology in an all-in-one indoor environment. The park will be located beside the centre’s restaurant complex and accessible from both ground and first floors.

Founded in Finland in 2012, SuperPark operates 28 sites worldwide across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. The Glasgow venue will introduce its distinctive “activity wonderland” format to UK audiences, offering more than 30 interactive experiences inspired by football, gymnastics, dance and freestyle sports.

Designed to appeal to all age groups, the concept encourages families to take part together rather than spectate. Unlike traditional soft play centres or trampoline parks, SuperPark focuses on shared, body-powered activities that promote movement, coordination and confidence.

Jonathan Doherty, Managing Director of SuperPark UK, said the team is now counting down to opening day. “We are thrilled to reveal SuperPark Glasgow’s opening date. The countdown is on as we build towards sharing this fully inclusive, multi-generational activity park with the people of Glasgow. It’s for children, for teens, for adults, and for everyone of all backgrounds and abilities,” he said.

He added that the concept blends physical activity with technology in a purposeful way. “SuperPark is not about replacing technology, it’s about using it to enhance children’s experiences by making movement more interactive and motivating. There’s nothing passive whatsoever in our offering – parents and children move, play and succeed side by side.”

Tickets for SuperPark Glasgow will be available to purchase via the newly launched website from 20 July.

Alongside the activity offering, visitors can expect a strong food and drink element, with Glasgow-based café concept Scran + Roadie opening a second site within the park. Founded by Doherty, the brand is known for its locally sourced, accessible menu and already operates at Saltmarket in the city.

“Too often, in-house cafés fall short of expectations at family attractions,” he said. “I am thrilled that Scran + Roadie will provide delicious, locally sourced food and drink for SuperPark clientele.”

SuperPark Glasgow has also been recruiting locally ahead of launch, with a recruitment day scheduled for 14 July at Scran + Roadie.

The development has been welcomed by local stakeholders as a significant addition to the region’s leisure and tourism offering. Ashley Bisland, Centre Director at Frasers Plus Braehead Shopping Centre, described the attraction as a major step forward.

“SuperPark is a fantastic addition to Braehead and we’re incredibly proud that it has chosen the centre as the home of its first UK location,” she said. “We’re confident it will become a real destination for families from across Renfrewshire, Glasgow and beyond.”

VisitScotland also highlighted the wider tourism impact. Lynne Cooper, Regional Director, said: “It’s very positive that an international brand like SuperPark has chosen Scotland as its first UK location and a real boost to Renfrewshire’s reputation as a visitor destination.”

Renfrewshire Council echoed that sentiment, with Head of Economy and Development Services Alasdair Morrison noting the investment would further enhance the region’s leisure appeal for both residents and visitors.

As opening day approaches, SuperPark Glasgow is positioning itself as a new flagship attraction within Braehead’s evolving leisure offering—bringing a globally successful concept to a Scottish audience for the first time.
