GLASGOW’S leading shopping destination, St. Enoch Centre, was presented with the Security Team of The Year Award at the 2023 Sceptre Awards.

Recognising the best practices and best people in the UK’s shopping centre industry, the Sceptre Awards are a marker of excellence and pre-eminent accolades in the retail sector.

The Security Team of the Year category celebrates the highest standard of shopping centre security, with the winner demonstrating a direct and positive contribution to the centre’s safekeeping, instances of going the extra mile, and positive feedback from retailers and customers.

Up against the likes of Gunwharf Keys, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool and Meadowhall in Sheffield, St. Enoch Centre’s comprehensive approach to improving security saw the Glasgow destination win the 2023 award.

Martin Paton, St. Enoch Centre’s Security Manager, said:

“Winning the Security Team of The Year award is a great honour and recognition for our hard work and dedication to keep shoppers and tenants safe.

“It was very rewarding to hear the kind comments and testimonials from Police Scotland, retailers and local councillors, and shows that our efforts have not gone unnoticed in the industry.”

Annmarie McClean, St. Enoch Centre Marketing Manager, said:

“Our security team goes above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing of all people in the centre, dealing with challenging situations with the utmost professionalism, resilience and resourcefulness. They are highly deserving of this award.”
