Sodexo has been awarded a new contract to deliver food services and pest control at the Scottish Parliament following a competitive procurement process, with the agreement set to begin in August 2026.
A longstanding partner to Holyrood since 1999, Sodexo will continue to oversee all food and drink operations across the estate under the new five-year deal, which includes an option to extend for a further three years.
The contract covers a wide range of services, including the public café, Garden Level outlets, the Holyrood Room, Queensberry House Lounge, as well as a busy programme of hospitality and events. It also incorporates the purchase and maintenance of catering equipment, kitchen deep cleans and pest control services.

Central to the renewed partnership is Sodexo’s “Proudly Serve Scotland” commitment, which focuses on sourcing local produce and delivering wider social value through responsible procurement, community engagement and employment opportunities. Currently, 49% of the suppliers supporting the Scottish Parliament contract are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The Scottish Parliament remains one of the country’s most prominent and high-profile institutions, welcoming around 1,000 pass holders daily, including MSPs, staff, contractors and media. On particularly busy days, more than 2,000 people can be on site, while the Holyrood complex also attracted over 172,000 visitors in 2025.
