Silverburn has strengthened its position as Scotland’s leading retail and leisure destination with the arrival of Space NK, as the premium beauty retailer opens its doors at the Glasgow shopping centre today.

The new store marks Space NK’s second location in the city, complementing its existing presence in Glasgow’s city centre. The opening introduces a spacious beauty hall featuring a curated selection of sought-after skincare, cosmetics and fragrance brands, including Summer Fridays, VIEVE, Charlotte Tilbury, Color WOW and Phlur.

Eager shoppers were greeted with a celebratory launch event, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and treats from popular Glasgow bakery Tantrum Doughnuts, which were handed out to early visitors queueing for a first look inside.

To mark the opening, a series of exclusive in-store offers are available today. The first 250 customers to make a purchase will receive a complimentary beauty gift, while the first 500 shoppers spending £100 or more will be rewarded with an exclusive goodie bag. Customers spending £30 or more can also try their luck with a beauty-filled lucky dip, and those purchasing one of Space NK’s popular travel bags will have the option to personalise it in-store.

Space NK’s arrival further enhances Silverburn’s growing portfolio of international brands, joining names such as Stradivarius, Oliver Bonas and Bershka. The addition also strengthens the destination’s expanding beauty and wellness offering, reinforcing its appeal to premium retailers and shoppers alike.

Diarmuid Donohoe, General Manager of Silverburn, said the opening reflects continued demand from both consumers and leading brands. He commented: “We’re committed to bringing the most sought-after brands to Scotland, cementing our position as the country’s premier retail and lifestyle destination. Space NK is a fantastic addition to our already exceptional beauty offering and reflects the continued demand from both guests and leading international retailers to be part of Silverburn.

“We know guests have been eagerly anticipating this opening, and today’s celebrations demonstrate the excitement surrounding the brand’s arrival. Over the past year, we have welcomed an outstanding line-up of new brands and experiences, reinforcing Silverburn’s reputation as the destination of choice for shoppers seeking a premium retail experience and access to the very best names in fashion, beauty and lifestyle.”

Charlie Evans, Head of Retail at Space NK, highlighted Glasgow’s strong beauty market and the importance of expanding within the city. He said: “Glasgow is an incredible beauty-loving city, and we’re delighted to be bringing a second store to the area, making it even easier for our customers to shop with us across two large locations.

“Our new store at Silverburn allows us to reach even more customers, bringing our curated edit of the world’s best beauty brands, alongside our exceptional customer service, to a convenient new location.

“We’re thrilled to be opening with an extensive range of brands, including Vieve, Phlur, Byoma, and our latest launches, YSL and Armani. We can’t wait to welcome you to our opening celebrations and look forward to seeing many of you in store.”
