Sentinel Marine has secured an extension of its contract with INEOS, continuing the Cromarty Sentinel’s operations in the Southern North Sea (SNS) for an additional three years. The vessel will continue to provide vital support to the Breagh and Clipper South platforms, with the agreement including options for two further one-year extensions.

The Cromarty Sentinel, one of the newest additions to Sentinel Marine’s fleet, was delivered in March 2022. This state-of-the-art vessel, built to the highest standards of efficiency and environmental sustainability, has been integral in supporting offshore operations in the North Sea.

Rory Deans, CEO of Sentinel Marine, commented:

“This contract extension further develops our partnership with INEOS. The Cromarty Sentinel’s enhanced capabilities and environmentally responsible credentials make it an exemplary asset for supporting the critical operations at the Breagh and Clipper South platforms. Our commitment to operational efficiency and environmental sustainability is reflected in this extension, underscoring the trust our clients have in our services.”

The Cromarty Sentinel boasts numerous advanced features, including DP2 dynamic positioning, firefighting to Class1 standard, and extensive oil recovery capabilities. It also includes dry bulk, brine, and liquid mud capacity, ensuring it is well-equipped for a variety of offshore tasks. The vessel’s green passport ensures that all materials used in its construction are documented and safely managed, aligning with Sentinel Marine’s commitment to sustainability.

With accommodation for up to 34 persons, the Cromarty Sentinel prioritises the welfare of its seafarers, offering en suite facilities, internet connections, and satellite TV.

“We have developed a fleet that not only meets the operational demands of the offshore industry but also supports our clients’ sustainability goals,” added Mr Deans.

“The Cromarty Sentinel exemplifies this commitment, and we look forward to continuing our successful collaboration with INEOS.”
