DUNNS Food and Drinks, in partnership with Scotland’s oldest football club, Queen’s Park, is delighted to announce a new initiative to support young people through Aware Scotland. The partnership will see the club provide coaching sessions and experiences for young people facing adversity.
As part of the collaboration, two young people supported by Aware Scotland, Calum Alexander and Liam Reynolds, enjoyed a special day at Queen’s Park, including a stadium tour, meeting with club star Dom Thomas, and receiving their own Queen’s Park strips.
Over the next year, the partnership will deliver a range of initiatives, including:
Free match tickets: More than 50 free tickets will be provided to Aware Scotland for distribution among the young people they support.
Mascot opportunity: A young person supported by the charity will be chosen as the club’s mascot and featured on Queen’s Park social media platforms prior to the match.
Bucket collections: Funds raised at future Queen’s Park home games will support Aware Scotland’s vital work.
Training and match experiences: Dunns Food and Drinks will offer young people the chance to attend training sessions, games, and press conferences.
Goodie bags: All participants will receive Dunns Food and Drinks goodie bags.
Chris Glancey, Founder of Aware Scotland, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the support of Queen’s Park and Dunns Food and Drinks. This partnership provides invaluable opportunities for young people who have faced challenges. By offering experiences like this, we can help build confidence, resilience, and a brighter future.”
Julie Dunn, Operations Director at Dunns Food and Drinks, added: “We are proud to partner with Queen’s Park to support such a worthy cause. Our company has a long history of giving back to the community, and this initiative aligns perfectly with our values. Kieran Koszary, Head of Commercial at Queen’s Park, commented: “As a community-focused club, we are delighted to work with Dunns Food and Drinks and Aware Scotland on this exciting project. By providing opportunities for young people to engage with the club, we hope to inspire and uplift them.”
