Scottish QS firm scoops National Building Award

East Kilbride based firm Soben has won Consultancy of the Year at the National Building Awards 2019.

The National Building Awards were made up of 17 categories and gave any successful business in the world of building the opportunity to highlight their work and achievements and be judged by a panel of national experts.

Soben Managing Director Scott Smyth said after the awards “As a relatively young business who regularly has to compete against the long established national quantity surveying practices, we recognise that we must always strive to be the absolute best in the market place and be World Class in everything that we do.” said  “Our ‘Always Moving Forward’ programme means that we never stand still and continually evolve and invest to keep as us at the cutting edge of our profession.”

“Our team have embraced this culture and it is a testament to them that we now provide our contractor-centric services to 21 of the top 25 main contractors in the UK.  I am really proud of each and every member of our team in being recognised by the independent panel of judges for their hard work and for Soben to be presented with this prestigious award.”

Founded in 2011, Soben is a contractor-centric quantity surveying and commercial management consultancy.  Their clients are blue chip national and international contracting organisations who construct prestigious and complex projects across the construction, civil engineering, rail, utility and energy sectors.

Over 250 attended the National Building Awards Finals at Wembley Stadium where business from the building trade across the UK celebrated hard work and success that is placing UK construction at the heart of UK plc.
