MFMac, one of Scotland’s big four independent law firms, has been recognised with the Business Leadership Award at the 2024 Scottish Legal Awards.

MFMac received the award in recognition of its successful merger, announced last September, which aimed to create a larger, more competitive firm in Scotland.

The merger has positioned MFMac as a key player, now employing 470 staff members, including 330 fee earners and 77 partners.

Chris Harte, CEO of MFMac, said: “We are honoured to receive the Business Leadership Award, which reflects the immense hard work and dedication behind the MFMac merger.

“It is an exciting time for the Scottish legal landscape, and we’re thrilled to see MFMac at the centre of this transformation as a leading player in the new big four.

“Throughout this transition, our leadership has remained consistent and forward-focused, and we continue to embrace this approach as we look to the future.”

The Scottish Legal Awards are renowned for recognising excellence and achievement in Scotland’s legal sector.
