WATERMANS, a full service law firm and estate agency operating across Scotland, is once again offering the opportunity for homeowners to sell a home for free in 2023.

The return of the ‘Sell Your Home For Free’ contest will allow homeowners who list their houses for sale before the end of March, to be entered into a draw to win their house sale completely free of charge.

This means no estate agency fees or legal fees, while the marketing pack, photography, floor plans, brochures, home report, conveyancing, registration, notice and IT management will all be provided free of charge.

Homeowners listing their property with Watermans between now and March 31st will be automatically entered into the draw to save a significant amount of money – which could be used to pay for renovations for a new home, landscaping a new garden, or even a family holiday.

Tzana Webster, director of property sales at Watermans, said: “We’re so excited to be bringing back our Sell For Free competition this year. It’s a chance to really make a difference to someone’s life. Moving home can seem like a stressful experience, so having all your expenses covered by Watermans would really take the load off.

“The prize includes the estate agency fee, cost of the home report, ESPC marketing, advertising on additional property web portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla, as well as all the legal conveyancing costs. The options of what you can do with the money you will save are endless.”

Last year’s winners were Musselburgh family Kim and Abi Wingate, who sold their two-bed duplex for 25% above the home report value, after less than a week on the market. They said: “Winning this competition was unbelievable. We have a few ideas for what to spend the money on for sure, but our number one would be to build a little workshop. We have a small business, and at the moment we just run it from a spare room. Having a little workshop at the end of the garden where Abi could go to work would be amazing.”

With offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Watermans’ estate agency team is experienced in selling properties across the whole of Scotland, from one-bedroom city-centre flats to large, detached houses in the countryside, and everything in between.
