Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB) is pleased to announce its continued partnership with the Scottish Government, reinforcing their shared commitment to connecting skilled refugees, currently in displacement, with the opportunity to migrate to Scotland through labour mobility.

This collaboration not only supports Scotland’s economy but also provides refugees with a chance to rebuild their lives through the innovative displaced talent mobility pilot.

Since the partnership’s inception, over 20 displaced individuals, including skilled refugees and their dependents, have secured the opportunity to relocate to Scotland after receiving offers of employment.

With the Scottish Government’s continued support, including a £75,000 funding allocation for the upcoming year, TBB will expand its impact in 2024/25.

This includes building partnerships and opportunities with key growth sectors such as green skills, education, and healthcare—industries offering vast opportunities for individuals with the right expertise.

TBB maintains its commitment to supporting businesses in all sectors seeking to address skills shortages by tapping into the diverse talent pool of skilled refugees.

A standout success from the partnership has been with a Scotland-based company providing solutions for the global energy and infrastructure sectors.

In 2023, they hired two skilled project engineers, Malek and Michael, both Syrian refugees living in displacement, through TBB’s programme.

“Scotland has a long and proud history of welcoming people fleeing war and persecution,” said Equalities Minister Kaukab Stewart.

“Our funding for this brilliant initiative will help displaced people find sanctuary and skilled work in this country, while also supporting businesses by ensuring key gaps in their workforces are filled.”

Employers operating in Scotland are encouraged to learn more about this initiative and consider joining the growing network of businesses benefiting from TBB’s innovative approach.

Together, we can build a future where talent knows no boundaries. Join Us: If you are an employer based in Scotland or have operations here, we invite you to reach out for more information.

Together, we can create a future where talent transcends borders and skilled refugees are empowered to contribute to Scotland’s thriving workforce.
