Scottish commercial assets to be sold at auction

A heritable bank investment located in Dunfermline, Fife, is being offered at a guide price of £500,000 at the upcoming Acuitus auction. The 6,956 sq ft property is entirely let to long-term tenant Clydesdale Bank, trading as Virgin Money, under a recently extended lease for 10 years, subject to options, and produces £62,500 p.a. in rental income.

Elsewhere in Scotland, a mixed development opportunity in central Aberdeen comprising two substantial buildings is being offered at a guide price of £350,000-£375,000. Currently in vacant possession, the 88,794 sq ft property includes a Grade B listed Schoolhill building, formerly a Student Union. Alongside the Clarke Building, conditional planning consent was granted in 2015 for the total property to be converted to 255-bed boutique hotel.

A number of additional office investment opportunities in Aberdeen will also be offered at the December auction.

  • 3 West Craibstone Street – guide price £150,000. Vacant possession. Heritable office opportunity in traditional city centre, with redevelopment potential, subject to consents.
  • 5-7 Weigh House Square & 6-10 Virginia Street – guide price £50,000. Vacant possession, 44,541 sq ft property. Traditional warehouse buildings with development potential, subject to consents.
