A Scottish clothing brand beloved by superstar singer Taylor Swift is celebrating its tenth birthday by launching a specially designed collection that celebrates their decade in business.

Little Lies was born in a Kirkcaldy bedroom in 2015 – and is now a brand with fans around the world, including the Shake It Off star who was twice spotted stepping out in their own label outfits last year causing a viral sensation for the firm.

Now to celebrate the anniversary of their founding Little Lies have launched their 10 Pieces For 10 Years collection, which they say is “rooted in slow fashion values” and “revisits their roots”.

Co-founder Jade Robertson said the collection represented a “decade of graft, heart and style”.

She founded the business from her home in Kirkcaldy in August 2015 – starting out with a Facebook page and a home made website and sourcing pieces from wholesalers to fit the fledgling company’s boho aesthetic.

Over the past ten years the firm has evolved from bedroom boutique to own label designer – creating each and every piece at their current HQ in Glencarse, Perthshire, and working closely with trusted manufacturers to bring their unique designs to life.

The company have developed a cult following around the world – with celebrities such as Swift, Denise Van Outen and Helena Bonham Carter seen sporting their pieces over the years.

Jade added that the biggest success was in still being in business after ten years that have seen a pandemic, cost of living crises and tough conditions for independent retailers across the board.

She said: “Independent businesses have not had it easy over the last few years so we’re delighted to be thriving in the current environment.

“There have been some incredible highs and some difficult times, but nothing pleases us more than seeing our customers all over the world loving the products we are coming up with right here in Perthshire.

“We are all about creating what we call ‘future vintage’ – the opposite of fast fashion, quality items you’re going to love and wear again and again for years to come.

“That’s been critical to the transformation and growth of the business over the past ten years and it is the key thing we hope to carry forward in to our second decade.”
