Scot JCB has officially expanded its construction sales territory into Chester-le-Street and Sunderland, strengthening its presence across the Northeast of England and opening up new opportunities to support construction businesses in the region.

Previously, Scot JCB’s coverage extended as far south as Newcastle. With this new development, the company can now offer its full range of JCB construction machinery, genuine parts, and expert servicing to more customers than ever before — all backed by the experienced team at its recently upgraded Newcastle depot.

Paul Coates, Regional Manager for Scot JCB, described the expansion as “an exciting opportunity to engage with more customers across the region.” He added: “We’re absolutely delighted to extend our territory into Chester-le-Street and Sunderland. Customers in these areas will now benefit from market leading JCB construction equipment, reliable support, 100% customer focus, industry-leading service, and a wealth of construction experience that helps keep their businesses moving.”

As part of the expansion, Scot JCB has strengthened its local offering by investing in its Newcastle depot and support team. The depot recently underwent a series of upgrades to improve facilities for engineers and enhance service capacity, ensuring the site is fully equipped to serve both existing and new customers efficiently.

Construction customers in Chester-le-Street and Sunderland will now be supported by:

Paul Coates, Regional Sales Manager for the region

Ben Givens, Sales Engineer for the region

Neil Wanless and Shannon Mattimore, who will handle all parts enquiries

Michael James, Service Supervisor, and his team of experienced Scot JCB Engineers

“We’ve got a fantastic team on the ground,” said Paul. “They know the machines, they know the customers, and they’re ready to help businesses across our expanded territory get the most from their equipment.”

Scot JCB’s Newcastle depot has long been a key part of the business’s operations, offering new and used machinery sales, genuine JCB parts, workshop and mobile servicing for customers across a wide range of industries — including plant hire, utilities, groundworks, housebuilding, and civil engineering.

The expansion is already making a difference. With a local contact now in place, customers in Chester-le-Street and Sunderland can enjoy:

Faster response times for breakdowns and servicing

More access to onsite demonstrations and machine walkarounds

Better availability of genuine JCB parts and consumables

Support from a dedicated local sales engineer who understands the demands of the industry

Iain Bryant, Joint Managing Director of Scot JCB, added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to strengthen our presence in the Northeast. The team is already out on the ground meeting businesses in the new territory, and we’re looking forward to supporting even more customers with the quality of service and machinery they expect from Scot JCB.”
