Savills has reaffirmed its commitment to Edinburgh’s dynamic rental market with further investment in its Residential Lettings team, reflecting the sector’s continued growth despite a shifting regulatory landscape.
Leading the expansion is Sophie Strand, appointed as Head of Residential Lettings. A native of East Lothian, Sophie brings over a decade of experience in Edinburgh’s fast-paced lettings sector, most recently as Director of Business Development at Belvoir. She has quickly strengthened the team by appointing Cass Hogg as Property Manager. Cass is highly regarded for her expertise in landlord and tenant relations, ensuring top-tier service and client satisfaction.
The team is further supported by Savills Associate Tiffany Rigg, who has been with the company for six years. Tiffany plays a pivotal role in property marketing and Customer Relationship Management, ensuring seamless client communication and high property management standards.
Operating from Savills Edinburgh Residential hub and part of a global network, the team specialises in lettings and management of flats, townhouses, and family homes in Scotland’s capital. By working closely with colleagues in sales and new-build consultancy, they foster strong relationships and generate new business opportunities, offering landlords and investors market-leading insights and international reach.
As one of the UK’s fastest-growing cities, Edinburgh’s rental market continues to thrive, with 30% of tenants coming from overseas—highlighting strong investment potential and global appeal.
Sophie Strand commented: “Edinburgh’s rental sector is undergoing legislative changes, presenting both opportunities and challenges for landlords. Navigating this evolving landscape requires strategic decision-making, and we are expanding our team to ensure clients receive the expert guidance and support they need.
“By combining local expertise with Savills extensive national and international network, we offer a unique advantage to landlords and tenants alike, helping them make informed decisions in a dynamic market.”
