A leading hydraulics specialist has announced a significant milestone with the growth of its team to more than 50 people, thanks to the recent recruitment of four new graduate apprentices.

Saturn Fluid Engineering, which is based in Dundee and operates Saturn Integrity Management Ltd in Aberdeen, recently announced that it had surpassed the landmark on its ambitious growth journey primarily in the energy, marine and defence sectors.

Continuing the company’s collaboration with Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University, two BA (Hons) Accounting, one BA (Hons) Business Management and one BEng (Hons) Engineering graduate apprentices have joined the team at Saturn’s Dundee HQ.

Meanwhile, the creation earlier this year of the new integrity division in Aberdeen has also been critical in swelling the headcount which has also grown across the company’s locations in Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai and Australia as well as Scotland.

The new additions will be pivotal in helping Saturn to further expand its corporate horizons: further headway is expected in both UK and international markets which now make up a quarter of revenues with Australia, UAE and Canada identified as key emerging markets.

Commenting on the growth of the team, Saturn co-founder Shona Clunie said: “We are delighted to continue our collaboration with RGU in offering the Graduate Apprenticeship positions within Saturn.”

“It is also important that we create opportunities for graduates to join, not only for the benefit of our company but also to nurture talent for the sustainability of the wider industry.”

She added: “Ensuring that we have the right people in the right place at the right time is fundamental to delivering the high calibre of customer-focused solutions that will foster sustainable development across our chosen marketplaces.”

UK General Manager Tom Pendlebbury added: “As well as consolidating our presence in key markets, the addition of extra personnel will correctly position us for growth into new areas, including the renewables market where we are capitalising on a rising number of prospects.”

Saturn was founded by Ewen and Shona Clunie in 2016 and is primarily focused on working with clients across a range of sectors including defence, marine and energy.  It has a strong and enviable record of accomplishment in delivering dynamic, customer focused fluid management solutions using unrivalled technical expertise and support to consistently exceed customer expectations.
