17/03/2023

NEW research conducted by JET – one of the UK’s leading fuel brands – can reveal that: competitive pricing (59%), a good looking/well-presented site (52%) and a safe environment (50%) are the top three influencing factors for women drivers from Scotland when choosing a service station.

The research, conducted online among women drivers 18+ and nationally representative in February 2023, can also reveal that speed and convenience (44%), pay at the pump facilities (43%) and good/clean toilet facilities (42%) are also important factors for women drivers.

“As our programme of re-imaging/refurbing sites across the UK comes to an end – it is gratifying to know that many of the improvements and upgrades made have been identified as being important to women when it comes to service station choice.” said Áine Corkery Manager, Brand, UK Marketing Phillips 66 Limited.

“We aim to provide a safe, well-lit, cared-for environment with an emphasis on great service designed to get customers back on the road quickly and safely.”

The top 10 factors as identified by women drivers from Scotland also included: clear signage (30%), all pumps/fuels available (29%), friendly/efficient service (27%) and good coffee (22%).

There are 300 JET branded service stations nationally – all sporting the eye-catching iconic blue and yellow branding.
