Westhill-based refracturing solution specialist Morphpackers has appointed a new CEO in the US to drive its business growth.
Alfredo Sanchez, 46, joins the business from Rubicon Oilfield International where he held the position of vice president of well construction.
Based in The Woodlands, Texas, Mr Sanchez has more than 23 years’ experience in the oilfield services market, with a particular focus on completions.
He previously worked for Top-Co, which was subsequently acquired by Rubicon, as well as Coampsa and Schlumberger.
In his new role he will have full responsibility for the leadership and development of Morphpackers’ business, driving the company’s international expansion programme.
Morphpackers chairman, Steve Nicol said: “Alfredo is an incredibly strategically-minded individual, with strong leadership skills.
“He has extensive business development experience, particularly in the North American fracking market, which is essential in terms of our focus on the US onshore shale market.
“He also has a solid, technical understanding of shale well completions and fracturing and so is well placed to lead our ambitious growth strategy.”
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “It’s great to be joining Morphpackers at such an exciting time in the company’s development.
“I’m really looking forward to growing the team, while bringing new technologies to the refracturing market.
“Morphpackers’ innovative technology, along with our high-quality service, provides customers with a cost effective refracturing solution that provides 100% of the original production for approximately 60% of the cost.
“The opportunities therefore to deploy our products in the US alone are massive, with the huge volume of under-stimulated generation one and two wells present and ready for modern refracturing techniques.”
