QD Events awarded Marketing Campaign of the Year – Consumer

QD Events is celebrating after winning Marketing Campaign of the Year – Consumer for The IRN-BRU Carnival at the AEO Excellence Awards 2019.

The AEO Excellence Awards celebrates the achievements of venues, suppliers, contractors and event organisers across the UK.

QD Events, which is based in the SEC, Glasgow, was acknowledged for its innovative and integrated campaign for its annual Carnival event – which will be commemorating its centenary year this December.

The award acknowledged The IRN-BRU Carnival’s dedication to providing an excellent and engaging visitor experience for more than 163,000 people. The award also recognised its creative campaign approach of recruiting six Carnival Ambassadors to become the face of the indoor funfair, creating user-generated social media content and raising awareness across the city.

QD Events was commended for its efforts to create an inclusive event by running autism friendly sessions with the National Autistic Society and introducing an Accessibility Guide to detail measures in place for visitors with disabilities.

Alongside The IRN-BRU Carnival, QD Events manages sports and fitness exhibition, SFN Expo; The Scottish Wedding Shows; Resonate Total Gaming, The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show and Go Explore, a new caravanning and outdoor holidays show which will hold its inaugural event in March.

QD Events was also shortlisted for Best Consumer Show for The Scottish Caravan Motorhome and Holiday Home Show as well as receiving a nomination for Best Live Event with The IRN-BRU Carnival.
