Property Managers Association Scotland elects new Vice President

NEALE Bisset, managing director of PMC Management and Lettings, has been elected as the Vice President of the Property Managers Association Scotland (PMAS).

PMAS is the leading trade Association representing professional property factor firms in Scotland. The Association promotes high standards and best practice within the property management and factoring industry and actively engages with the Scottish Government on property law, external wall cladding, legislation, and the Property Factors Code of Conduct.

Building on his commitment to the property management industry, Neale was delighted to accept the position of Vice President at their recent AGM on the 5th of March 2021 with immediate effect having previously served on the council of PMAS, as a Director.

Neale also sits on the Scottish Working Group for the Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM) and was elected as a Fellow of the IRPM, in January 2021. In doing so, he became the youngest ever Fellow of the IRPM in Scotland, and one of only 4 people in Scotland to currently hold this grade.

Neale will be taking over the Vice Presidency at PMAS from Nic Mayall, who is stepping up to President, and will hold this executive position for two years, during which time he will continue his efforts to improve standards within the property management and factoring industry.

“I am thrilled, and honoured, to be taking on the challenging role of Vice President of PMAS, says Neale. “I have been in the industry for over a decade and involved with both the PMAS and IRPM for much of that time.

“My aim is to continually raise the level of standards and professionalism within the industry, as well as bringing real change for our member firms and the wider home owning public. Issues like external wall cladding and EWS1 certification is of vital importance to apartment owners, and the PMAS are at the forefront of these discussions.”

Alongside his new appointment, Neale will continue in his role as managing director of PMC Management and Lettings (PMC) who offer a wide range of property management services and letting services, to clients across Scotland with offices in Aberdeen, Inverness, and Glasgow.

PMC have made some recent changes to their internal structure, as well as investing in staff, to expand the level of service they offer customers. Most of their property management team are IRPM qualified, and experts in their field, setting PMC above many of their major competitors.
