INDEPENDENT property consultancy firm Galbraith today announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer.

Martin Cassels, who succeeds Pam Over, will take up the post from April 1.

Iain Russell, Galbraith chairman, said: “We have enjoyed a lengthy period of expansion across all our multi-disciplinary services under Pam’s leadership, and we are delighted to announce the appointment of Martin, an experienced and respected partner in the firm, who will continue to drive Galbraith forward”.

Mr Cassels said: “It is a great honour to lead the firm into its next phase of development, growth and success.

“Despite the unprecedented current circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we will spare no effort in maintaining those levels of service, and adapting to a new way of working.”

Mr Cassels joined Galbraith in 2008 and has previously led the firm’s building surveying business.

Mrs Over remains a partner of Galbraith and a member of the company’s commercial team.
