Plans have been submitted to extend and refurbish the Four Points by Sheraton on Haymarket Terrace, in a scheme that would significantly expand the hotel’s presence and refresh its look in Edinburgh’s west end.
The application, prepared by Ica for PHH Haymarket Ltd, proposes a contemporary five-storey extension to the south of the building, delivering 27 extra bedrooms and taking the total room count to 96, alongside a more prominent reception and enhanced food and drink space.
The project forms part of a wider redesign described as a stone-and-slate makeover, intended to give the previously dated hotel a stronger architectural presence on Haymarket Terrace and better complement the surrounding townscape.
