A planning application for a new premium whisky experience in the heart of Edinburgh city centre on Rose Street has been submitted by Robert Graham 1874.
Celebrating 150 years of heritage, Robert Graham 1874 – a haven for whisky and cigar enthusiasts – plans to create an immersive retail experience from its existing premises on Rose Street essentially doubling the size of the business with retail and hospitality provision developed from the adjacent unit.
This exciting expansion marks the next chapter in the company’s storied legacy, founded in 1874. The proposed development will offer an immersive retail environment that goes far beyond traditional shopping. Designed as a sanctuary for those who appreciate the spirit of Edinburgh, the proposed new shop, bar and outdoor experience will combine the exclusive sale of 12 branded whiskies and premium cigars with on-trade offerings, an extensive range of spirits and wine and Scottish whisky and light food offering.
An inviting outdoor space will also facilitate private events, bespoke tastings, and a range of experiential activities ensuring that every visit is both memorable and engaging.
With operations spanning Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cambridge, and online, Robert Graham 1874 is renowned for its independent bottling approach, using only the finest distilled spirits to craft authentic expressions. Currently holding 36 casks in bond, the company is poised to unveil new expressions that continue to push the boundaries of quality and innovation. Over the past 15 years, the brand has garnered more than 80 awards, underscoring its commitment to excellence and its unique position in the luxury retail market.
