PLANNING and development consultants Lichfields is demonstrating its commitment to city centre working with a move to larger Edinburgh offices.
Lichfields established its Scottish office in George Street in 2015 headed by Nicola Woodward and it now has five full-time members of staff including Gordon Thomson, who was recently-promoted to Planning Director.
After more than five years of consistent growth it’s now planning for the future with a move from 101 George Street to 115 George Street into office space twice the size of its existing footplate.
Scottish office head and Senior Director Ms Woodward said: “We need more space to grow and despite new and more flexible working approaches to having an office base is very important.
“We are a people-facing business and the office is key to that. It is where we grow and nurture our staff and it is where we do business with our clients.
“A return to the office after an extended period of home working is very much looked forward to and having a fabulous new space to do business in the heart of Edinburgh is fantastic. The new office will accommodate our growth over the next five years.”
Ms Woodward says it continues to work for land promoters, asset managers, major housebuilders and the leisure industry.
It is currently promoting a mixed-used redevelopment on a large brownfield site in West Edinburgh, Elements Edinburgh, adjacent to Edinburgh Airport.
As well as the recent promotion of Mr Thomson, Jade Scott-Meikle has been appointed to the position of Associate Director. Jade joined Lichfields in 2015 and helped establish the Edinburgh office.
She has extensive knowledge and experience of planning and policy and has worked on a wide range of projects for both public and private sector clients throughout Scotland and the north of England.
Jade specialises in the delivery of large mixed-use regeneration projects, tourism and leisure schemes and hotel developments.
Planners Tabitha Howson and Arabella Stewart-Leslie make up the rest of the five-person team.
