Pest control firm growth story continues with nine new hires

PEST Solutions, the award-winning UK pest control business, has today announced several new hires as the business continues to grow across the UK.

With branches across the UK, Pest Solutions has over 20 years’ experience in the pest control and environmental services sector, helping to protect homes and businesses, with high quality customer service at its heart.

The business has experienced rapid growth in recent years, and with expansion plans for the future, including a further recruitment drive this month, the business is welcoming nine new team members in a variety of key roles:

  • Max Hunter – Graduate Service Technician
  • Connor Blair – Graduate Service Technician
  • Anna Deak – Graduate Service Technician
  • Megan Sommerville – Graduate Service Technician
  • Rebecca Moir – Graduate Service Technician
  • Michael Deakin – Service Technician
  • Nila Pandiyan – Digital Marketer
  • Yolanda Harding – Management Accountant
  • Emma Hart – Office Administrator

From a variety of professional and academic backgrounds including science, zoology and animal care, these new team members will continue to bring exciting, innovative thinking to Pest Solutions and support its growth journey. As Pest Solutions continues to expand its footprint across the UK, the new hires will be primarily based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and the north east of England.

Chris Cagienard, Managing Director at Pest Solutions and President of British Pest Control Association (BPCA), said:

Megan Sommerville joins Pest Solutions as a Graduate Service Technician based in Scotland. Megan joins the team from Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) after recently completing a first-class degree in Zoology from the University of the West of Scotland. Megan brings a range of different experiences and skillsets to the team with experience in research in pest management, animal behaviour and ecology.

On joining Pest Solutions, Megan added:

“I’m excited to join the Pest Solutions team and get to work on helping customers across the country. I feel I’m joining the business at a very exciting time, alongside my new colleagues, as we work together to grow the business across the UK and make a real difference to the lives of our customers and our towns and cities across the country.”

With Pest Solutions positioning itself as an exciting and innovative workplace in the pest control sector for driven and ambitious people, two of the team have recently been nominated for prestigious awards at this year’s National Pest Awards. Alongside this, Pest Solutions has recently been nominated as a finalist in the Inspiring Young Talent and Net Zero Achievement categories at this year’s Glasgow Business Awards.
