AN ‘outstanding’ job opportunity has come up at one of Scotland’s “most picturesque” bars and restaurants – with “some of the best sunset views the country has to offer”.

Recently named ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at the Scotsman Scran Awards, Scotts at Greenock Ocean Terminal has launched the search for a brand-new Deputy Manager to join its growing team.

Operated by award-winning hospitality group Buzzworks – which was voted one of the UK’s best companies to work for – the ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences while supporting the General Manager in leading and coaching a successful team.

And with Scotts situated just over a 30-minute drive from Glasgow city centre, Buzzworks is hoping to attract a high caliber of candidates for the role as they focus their recruitment efforts in the local area and beyond.

Vivien Bryan, Resourcing Partner at Buzzworks, said: “We’re looking for a dynamic Deputy Manager who can bring a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry to one of our most exciting venues.

“The right person will be passionate about providing amazing experiences for our guests while helping to drive the business forward as it continues to make its mark within the local community of Greenock.

“Not only that, but we’re looking for someone who can help nurture and inspire the next generation of hospitality heroes, while using their skills to manage and develop our team.

“The benefits that come with becoming part of the Buzzworks family are endless – not only do we offer a range of opportunities for professional growth, but we provide industry-leading training, including an aspirational Leadership Development Programme.

“What’s more, we’re also incredibly proud to provide a range of health and wellbeing initiatives, as well as a financial care package for our teams.

“This is an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and driven manager to join our team and we’d encourage anyone who thinks they could be the right fit to get in touch, as we’d love to hear from them.”

Jenny Barlow, General Manager at Scotts Greenock, added: “We’re really excited to be growing our team here in Inverclyde.

“The opportunities that come with being in a senior management position here at Buzzworks are outstanding and are well suited to someone who is serious about progressing their career in the hospitality sector.

“Aside from being a fantastic place to work and just over a half an hour’s commute from my home in Glasgow, I really believe our venue is one of the most stunning bars and restaurants in the whole of Scotland.

“The views are truly breathtaking – whether it’s the sun shining down on the River Clyde, or the Waverley paddle steamer floating past on the water, they really do have to be seen to be believed.

“It’s a really special place and we can’t wait to meet our newest addition to our senior team.”
