OFFSHORE lifting equipment provider KenzFigee has been awarded a six-figure contract to replace two cranes for the Northern Ammunition Jetty project in Loch Long, Argyll and Bute.

It will see KenzFigee, which has an office in Aberdeen’s Blackburn Industrial Estate, replace existing ammunition cranes as part of a major upgrade project.

The contract has been awarded by Preston-based Volkerstein.

To accommodate the much larger Queen Elizabeth class (QEC) aircraft carriers and the Royal Navy’s surface fleet, the old jetty will be replaced with a new platform.

Robert de Rijcke, KenzFigee CCO, said: “This award will further strengthen our strong relationship with VolkerStevin and partners, and also further strengthens our footprint in the British Navy & Defence industry as a trusted supplier of ammunition handling cranes.”
