Norwegian is set to expand its winter programme in Northern Norway with the introduction of a new direct service between Glasgow Airport and Tromsø, one of the Arctic’s most sought-after winter destinations.
Launching on 11 December 2026, the twice-weekly service will operate throughout the winter season until 22 March 2027, offering Scottish travellers a convenient gateway to the Arctic. Flights will depart on Mondays and Fridays, catering to both short winter breaks and longer stays.
The new route is expected to significantly enhance connectivity between Scotland and Northern Norway, making it easier for travellers to experience the region’s dramatic landscapes, Northern Lights and unique outdoor activities.
Chris Tibbett, Executive Director – Commercial Aviation & Marketing at AGS Airports Ltd, welcomed the announcement. Flights will operate to the following schedule:
- Mondays: Tromsø to Glasgow 15:10–17:15; Glasgow to Tromsø 17:55–21:45
- Fridays: Tromsø to Glasgow 11:10–13:15; Glasgow to Tromsø 13:55–17:45
