ONE OF Edinburgh’s most successful interiors brands is celebrating its continued growth with the opening of its second store in the city’s Bruntsfield neighbourhood.
Nordic Living by Biehl has launched a new store focused on interior and lifestyle accessories, gifts and more – located just a few doors from the brand’s original showroom, the new site will allow the business to continue to expand and offer customers a wider selection of the best in Nordic design.
Owners Sofie Bielhl Kleberg and Mogens Kleberg opened Nordic Living in 2018, and since then have built a reputation for stocking truly beautiful furniture and accessories, with a carefully-curated range in a thoughtfully-designed showroom. The team and business has expanded, but the ethos remains the same – it’s a truly welcoming, friendly and inspiring place to shop.
The new Nordic Living accessories shop will stock covetable cushions from Christina Lundsteen, stylish ceramics from Dottir, vases from Lyngby, Fritz Hansen and Alvar Aalto, plus candles, home fragrance, rugs, mirrors, kitchen accessories and lots more. By expanding into a second site, Nordic Living will be able to bring new brands to Bruntsfield, including Norman Copenhagen, Audo, Taishò, Layered and Papperlina.
Alongside the launch of the new shop, the original Nordic Living showroom at 185 Bruntsfield Place will have a makeover and re-open with a fresh new look and more space to display furniture from renowned designers such as House of Finn Juhl, PP Møbler and Fredericia Furniture. There will be more lighting from brands including LYFA and Louis Poulsen, plus storage, shelving, sofas and more. A new design office will give customers a comfortable place to talk through plans for interior projects large and small with advice and inspiration on hand from the friendly team.
Sofie Biehl Kleberg, owner of Nordic Living by Biehl , commented
“It’s six years since we made Edinburgh our home and opened our first Nordic Living showroom here in Bruntsfield. SInce then we’ve loved being part of the community of independent businesses in the neighbourhood so it made sense to expand into a second site in order to offer a wider range of the Nordic design brands that our customers love.
It’s been a busy summer for the team with the refurbishment of our original showroom and the launch of our first Nordic Studio kitchen and bathroom showroom in Morningside. We’re really excited about this next stage in the growth of the business and are thrilled to bring even more of the very best in Nordic design to Edinburgh.”
The Nordic Living by Biehl accessories store is open now at 175 Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh EH10 4DG.
