EDINBURGH-based Innovation and Design Company, CreateFuture, have announced the format and lineup for their first full-day conference, Catalyst 22, to be held in Edinburgh on 29th September, 2022.

The conference is designed for leaders of innovation and design teams across the UK, and will feature intimate, round table discussions and practical keynotes by innovation and design speakers from Transport for London and Tesco Bank, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Nathan Fulwood, Strategy Partner at CreateFuture, said:

“We’ve wanted to put an event like this on for a while, and the reintroduction of in-person events gave us the opportunity to design something specific for our peers. We’ve kept the numbers small, the space large, and placed a focus on collaboration and connection, giving attendees the opportunity to work through the issues facing their organisation together in a structured but informal setting.”

The initial lineup of speakers includes:

Amjid Rasool, Head of Service Design, and Catherine Richards, Head of Customer Design, at Tesco Bank, sharing their experience of building an innovation and design team from scratch in a fast-moving, financial services environment.

●  Hanna Kops, Head of Experience at Transport for London Digital, talking about developing a culture of innovation, and delivering products that impact millions of people on a daily basis.

●  Joanna Howes, CEO and Founder of The Change Creators. Joanna is an award-winning international coach, behavioural expert and best-selling international author, who will be in conversation with Jessica Mullen, CreateFuture’s MD, offering advice to attendees on how to fulfil their potential as leaders for the benefit of themselves, their teams and organisations.

Dave Ward, Creative Director at CreateFuture, said: “Catalyst 22 will feel different. There will be no sponsors. No sales pitches. The focus is on real-world innovation and design: how to create future products and services in complex and changing environments. We’re limiting places to a carefully curated 50 people, so that attendees know that everyone they meet that day will be a valuable future connection”.

The conference is designed for professionals in leadership roles or on a leadership path and places are limited. Tickets are on sale at £249 exc.VAT per person. Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.

The event is being held in Yotel’s immersive Imaginex space on Queen Street, Edinburgh. The conference won’t be live streamed.
