THE head of a successful youth employability and jobs programme set up by CR Smith has been appointed to the board of Developing the Young Workforce, Fife, the initiative that links businesses and education.

Pauline McGeevor, who runs Hand Picked, has worked in the employability sector for 15 years and is well known in the Fife local business community.

She said: “Joining the DYW board at this time allows me to bring some of my knowledge and experience to help at what is going to be a very tough path ahead for many school leavers.

“However, I firmly believe that collectively – schools and businesses – we can inspire young people and give them the tools and motivation to take the next steps.

“I look forward to working with all the members of the board in the months ahead.”

Bob Garmory, DYW Fife chairman said: “Pauline has worked in both the third sector and the private sector delivering highly effective employability programmes and we are delighted to have her as part of our board.”
