LEADING boiler manufacturer, Navien, has pledged its support to Brighter Futures Health Hub as the Scottish charity launches a campaign to tackle food poverty across the country.
Marking the launch of the charity’s ‘Heat 2 Eat’ campaign, Navien has made a £5,000 donation, which has been matched by local installation specialists and long-term partner to Navien, MPH Group. Throughout February, a further £100 will be donated to the charity for every Navien combi crossover boiler purchased and installed across Scotland.
Established to help the community access a variety of healthcare incentives, Brighter Futures Health Hub aims to deliver a healthier, fairer, empowered, and resilient society. Through their Heat 2 Eat campaign, the charity is connecting people in need with food banks, providing much-needed support during the winter months.
Jason Davies, National Business Manager at Navien UK, said: “We’re really pleased to be supporting the Heat 2 Eat campaign this winter, particularly as the rising costs of energy are increasing pressures on families. It is also lovely to be working closely with MPH on this initiative, who we have built a partnership with over much of the last decade and, together, are making a real difference in the community.
“Beyond our combined £10,000 donation which will be split amongst local organisations and food banks, we’ll be donating a further £100 for every combi crossover boiler bought and installed across Scotland by MPH Group during February.
“Our brand-new ON boiler range has been developed to improve performance and efficiency for homeowners, while cutting water and gas consumption. This boost in efficiency and subsequent savings on energy bills makes our support of the Brighter Future Health Hub initiative particularly fitting, especially during the coldest months of the year, and reflects our commitment to the wellbeing of the communities we work in.”
Rose Duncan, Health & Wellbeing Manager at Brighter Futures Health Hub, added: “At a time when people are struggling with the rising cost of living, our Heat 2 Eat campaign is directly supporting food banks and those who rely on them. We are committed to strengthening access to essential services covering everything from health and wellbeing through to educational facilities, and with Navien’s support throughout February, we will be able to help more people to access these vital community services.”
Through Navien’s ON range of boilers, which includes the NCB500 ON and NCB700 ON, homeowners can save up to 7,787 litres of water per year and up to 38% of gas compared to regular boilers. 20% hydrogen-blend-ready, the range caters for homes of all sizes and are compatible with Navien’s Smart Plus control, helping homeowners to further improve energy efficiency.
